I'm getting a reef breeders value LED light tomorrow with no hanging components. Don't want to spend big $$$ on a hanging kit. Any advice on how to set it up over my 20L!?

I've seen people use pvc to make a light stand.

Build the conduit hangers

You can get a 8ft long 1in square aluminium tube at most hardware stores for under $20. With a hacksaw, drill and some self tapping metal screws you can make a nice fixture. I used this along with some 90 degree brackets to make this light hanger. 11951397_10204850798531028_8879962990110283560_n.jpg

How are the base pieces attached to the aquarium? What are they called so I can look for them online?
