DIY Light goose-neck

Roughly 20 minutes ago, UPS delivered my new ecoxotic par 38. Now I've been looking everywhere for a gooseneck that I didn't have to order from online. Lowe's doesn't have one, Home Depot doesn't have one, no local hardware stores have them. So that's where I need your help. I'm not creative when it comes to DIY tank stuff. I really don't want to buy one offline because I've ran into a few unexpected problems with equipment and had to spend a decent amount of money on replacing them. I want your opinions on how to build a light holder for a single par 38 bulb to go over a 10 gallon. Thanks. :3

Goosenecks aren't terribly hard to find... online. You're not going to have much luck finding one by walking into a store, IMO.

Are you trying to take something apart and repurpose it for your aquarium or are you trying to build something from scratch? The latter is going to be more expensive than just buying a $30-40 aquarium gooseneck if you don't have the tools.

You can find all the necessary parts at HD and Lowes but not a 'walk in the park' at either. I noticed that Reef Radiance has them and rather reasonably priced. http://reefradiance.com/mounting-solutions.html

Easiest way to make goose neck is with Locline. Use 3/4" or 1/2" locline that you can buy cheap and run wire through the locline and then use bulb socket that goes on one end and you will have very nice, no too expensive and lightweight, rust proof goose neck....
