Hello there R2R crew ! lol

Im not looking to make accutal live rock. What im looking to do is make some Chalice frag domes.

I saw some from alternative reef but they looked a lil larger than what id like. So i thought id try to make some of my own..... Mabey lol

Im wondering what a good mix would be. I dont want to add anything to my reef that would kill of any of my corals. so if anyone has made any experience with making LR and adding it to a preexisting tank please comment.

1 part aragonite sand
1 part crushed coral
3 parts crushed oyster shell.

Or 1 Part Portland Cement
1 Part Sand
4 Parts Crushed Coral

People have used pasta as well like elbows to make voids in the rock work

Either way just make sure you cure thr rock ALOT
Soak it in freshwater and change it out every few days.

To make the mold use a rubber maid bin with wet sand in it, shape it how u like then crumble the mix over it. Allow it to fully cure. Dont rush it or the rock work will break

I've used Portland cement and aragonite sand, works great. I wet the sand a little so its easier to scape, then create different patterns. Poor cement, the add a little sand on top, works great.
