That's cool! We have some people in our reef club who have done that.

It's actually just a bunch of dry rubble that i epoxied to a mag float. Picked pieces that fit like a puzzle. Originally i was using the mag float for a $500 efflo that i got, but it was ugly. Do i made this. I'm going to make another one with an old Walmart magnet cleaner i have too. I'll add some more pics so you can see what i did.

I'm kinda thinking about taking the magnets from my koralias and covering them in rock to for camouflage.

Man you could mount a table acro to one made with a koralia magnet. Lol

I was thinking more to hide the koralia that to actually put stuff on it. This new one is a cheapo mag cleaner from Walmart. Of course... I think the magnets for the koralias aren't very expensive. Hmmm. Lol

I don't know about the Walmart magnet. My big turbo likes to knock mine off. It might work for a frag rack as long as you don't overload it. Lol

them and the nassurius snail are the only one i can keep alive. my hermit crabs have escargo ever time i restock with anything else. lol

One of the reasons i quit using hermit. Maybe a couple scarlet reefs because most of the time they're too big to want the smaller snail shells. Blue legs are the devil though. I bought a bunch of Tonga nassarius one day. Like 10 for $50 and with on a few days all the blue legs killed them and were wandering around in new shells.

Florida cerith snails are pretty good too. The get pretty big and are fast, they pretty much stay buried in the sand bed all day till they come out at night to graze.

Got some astreas and a couple mithrax, but no, not really any algae. Had an out break of briopsis a couple weeks ago. Changed the light bulb in my fuge. Briopsis died shortly there after.

Oh yeah back on subject those magnets would work for xenia and gsp. For those that like it but don't want it to take over the tank. It starts growing down the tank trim it back plus you can move it to clean the glass.

Lucky you I have diatoms in my main tank and my fuge. That is what I get for using tap water for years.

I have some diatoms today but i was doing a bunch of work in my fuge/sump. So i probably stirred up a bunch of crap. The chaeto pretty much wipes anything out though.

my parameters are spot on and cheato grows like crazy. my tank had five year of tap water in it so it has to be nitrates and phosphates trapped in the rock. luckily i got a RO/DI unit two months ago. lol
