Cut 1" pvc into small rings, as thin as possible:

Put 4 seedlings per ring and stack em up:

Larger stalks require two rings at the top and bottom. Seems to work well keeping them upright. Can cut the rings later when the roots interconnect.

simple and effective - I like it!!! Is this a new setup or have you been using it for a while? Are you growing these for a mangrove tank or for sale? I'd love to see a picture of the mangrove tank if that is where they're headed! :)

Thanks! I'm trying to setup a mangrove filter for a new project. I created a pre-filter/refugium for my sump and put these mangroves in it. I'm hoping to grow out the refugium area with them if possible. I have an AI prime fuge on the way to help them grow and alot of space to expand if needed. I've had success with them in the past but realized I definitely need alot of them to help with nutrient export.

If you scroll to the second pic in the slideshow - I plan to move them into the basin on the right when they are tall enough and the root structure develops:

If I need to expand or create a shallower area can try that too.

Interesting! Let us know how it works including the successes and learning points - good luck!
