Wanted to pick everyones brains on this. I'm working with limited space with a 72 bow front and 10g sump.

I have 2 media reactors I'm wanting to run off of a single mj1200 pump.

My question is, has anyone ever made a manifold style setup using quick disconnects and poly tubing? I'd love to see what you all may have.

The reasons for the quick disconnect is I'm using the BRS deluxe reactor.

Here is what I ended up doing.

I found a brass fitting from Lowe's that converted 3/4" to 1/2". Then screwed in a 1/2" QD straight line connector. That goes to a 1/2" QD T splitter. The GFO line has a on/off and the other goes straight into the reactor. I got the right tumble for each. I'd like to have more tumble on the bio pellets but what I have now is ok.

Brass is really bad for salt water systems. It will kill all your inverts due to fact that brass is made of zinc and copper. Copper in a reef tank is BAD!

I would remove it right away and find a PVC fitting to replace it with.

Just a FYI, metal should never be used in any saltwater system

Pulling it out now. I don't know why I thought it would be ok. I know this.

Wow. I hope my brain fart doesn't ruin my tank. It's been changed out. Using a smaller pump with all QD.
