Not sure you can classify it as a CFO, but this is sort of on the order of it.
I needed something small to run my purigen through, and since my DI resin needed redone, what the heck, I got a water tight canister on my hands.
It was actually cheaper to buy a new filled canister then to just buy the resin and pack it myself.
List of parts:
Small circulation pump
Hose that fit the pump
Hose for 1/4 hose Barb
DI canister
Purigen pack
3/8 in (Barb) x 1/4 in (MIP)
3/8" OD x 1/4 MIP shark bite male adaptor
****Your fitting sizes might be different depending on your little pump****
First I removed the DI canister from the RO unit, removed the fittings for the new canister that is coming, and emptied the spent DI resin.
I removed the plastic restrictors from the canister (a chopstick works awesome for removal and replacement seating of the restrictors)
I drilled the holes a tad bigger and cleaned them up for more water flow (newly dilled holes on the left one, regular size on the right)
Removed the hose grabber thingy from the sharkbite because it has metal in it and I don't like metal in my tank., and warmed up the hose so it would slip over the end and hold tight.
Put the purigen inside the resin holder.
Attached the 1/4 hose bib and ran the line the length needed for the tank.
Hook it all up and see if the flow is right for you, you can always drill the holes a tad bigger if you want more flow.
