Hey everyone I made a diy mount for my 2 hydra 26 lights and it only costed about $25 to maleness both mounts which is a lot cheaper than the store bought ones feel free to ask any questions on how I did it! I still need to paint them and drill holes to hide the wires.

4 10/32 2.5 inch bolts for the hydras $3
Aluminum angle $5
Tiny screws and washers to hold on the angle no specific size

Thank you! Just got my hydra in today. Didn’t want to use the ceiling mount it came with. This is perfect.

That looks very nice. I would consider painting it all black to match the lights.

I used a cheap black spray paint and turned out well, I’ll post updated pics tomorrow.

I might try to rig up something similar when my AI Prime HD arrives.

Very nice did it end up being that much cheaper then buying the brackets? Looks like something I could do

This is interesting. I am looking for a way to mount my T5 hybrid to a stand and was thinking of using conduit. Do you have a pic of how the arms are mounted? Also did you buy them curved like that or is that something you did to get them to curve over the tank?

May I ask how you have these mounted on the back side? I want to do something similar for my Hydra 52’s because I have a rimmed tank as well.
