DIY New Light Mount Into Tank Canopy

Got my new 165 Twin LED lights in this week and did not want to hang the lights from my ceiling so I figured a way that I could blend them into my setup . Rate and tell me what you think

Looks good.how far off the water will they be after you install them try to run them about ten inches seems to work best

They are about 12 to 13 inches I'd say from water

I'm liking it! It's obvious you cut holes in the top of the canopy, but how are you holding the lights in those holes?

I have the same light I but I want an open top look. I like my tank to breathe. But then again I maybe thinking mh mentality.

Yes i understand that . My tank is open in the back so ( fresh ) air can come in and breath
