So here’s my situation... the big snails like to climb into my overflow box and block the outlet (from display to sump)

I have failsafes for the external part of the box if I got clog in the pipes or whatever and that all works.. except the snail keeps overflowing my display!!

short of hooking some ugly sensors up along mydisplay rim... I figured I’d just sleep easily and make something for the overflow box weir..

I tried to use egg rate but it is not the right size and will not fit. Any other ideas?

If you know anyone with a 3D printer, you can take measurements and have them print you a cover. I did that when I was running my Eshopps PF300
I measured the outside diameter for the cover, and then measured the inside diameter and had him put ridges in it to prevent the cover from sliding around. Measured the diameter of the feed pipe and how far into the overflow it came. Worked great :)

Did you know i was in the 3d printing thread last night .. asking what a good 3d printer was :p this might be the best /easiest and most exciting way to get one done!! (Add 3d printer onto list of things I want lol

He will make one for you as long as you supply the dimensions.
Made a few things for me & they all work just right.

could put the ugly float switch in the sump. And instead of overfilling measure when underfilled, indicating your overflow is clogged.

Easy enough to buy a bit of plastic and cut your own. Just use polycarbonate rather than acrylic as it won’t warp.

Like from Home Depot or

Amazon or eBay. Probably the HD associate would look at you like you had two heads if you asked for polycarbonate. Cuts easily with standard wood working tools.

Cool!

How do I cut it?

I have a home workshop so I use a table saw .... but I recognize that most folks don’t. You can score/snap it or just use a hand saw since you don’t need to do a ton of cuts.
