Diy overflow is sooooooo loud need help!!!

I just built this overflow and it works well but it is super loud. I have been reading online and I have seen if I put a 90 facing downward the overflow may be quieter. Any other ideas to fix this issue. Please help it is driving my wife crazy!

Will definitely give it a shot I appreciate you going through the trouble to find it on YouTube. Should I copy the small holes on the side of the discharge pipe like the guy in the video cause right now it is just a straight pipe and water flows through the top not the sides.

Welcome, took a few minutes. lol I would think a few small holes wouldn't hurt but could try without but I would be afraid the bottle would suck down to the pipe and stop the flow.
