DIY overflow?

Same principle as a HoB overflow …. cheaper of course. I'd worry about air building up in the siphon tube but not being able to see in. Maybe use clear pvc.

That's pretty much it right there. I add an aqua lifter whenever I use these in order to ensure the siphon is never broken at the top of the u-bend.
Other than that, it worked flawlessly.

I should add, that it does need to be primed the first time you set it up and if you ever remove it to clean.

Lol yes it is.
The pump strainer for the Jebao dcp2500 just happens to fit perfectly over the 2" pvc stand pipe.
