Why don't you think this will work too boost pod population?
It's a safe haven for pods with no predators.

I will be adding plastic pot scrubbers on top and dosing with phytoplankton.
It will work but I doubt it will work week enough to see a noticeable difference. It’s as if you had 40 pounds of sand and added 4 more pounds. It’s more space but not that much more for them to live. I’m sure you’ll be fine as you have lots of ceramic rings for them to live. I guess it’s just a personal preference but i try to leave the last chamber empty so that i can easily work on the pump.Why don't you think this will work too boost pod population?

The pod home is removable. It's nothing but a plastic container.
The purpose of it is to provide a LOW FLOW dedicated space for them to breed, kind of like a pod culture but inside the sump instead of outside in a jar.
The bio chamber of the sump will defiantly help but it's a much higher flow section than the pod home is.
I also have my algae reactor that has pods in it and I will be adding in more pods to that as well.
