DIY power head gaurds??

Searched around can’t find anything close to what I’m asking…my main power heads burnt out so I placed a pair of fluval heads I had laying around until I get my replacement

my question is I can’t find any gaurds for the model I have so is there any diy tips? What can I make to cover them it’s for my seahorses coming Monday I don’t want their tails to get inside

what is effective to cover them up with? A black nylon?

Yes a nylon stocking will work.
If you can find Polymer Soft foam in sheets or rolls you can cut and make your own guards like the ones for MP40's and 60's

A really coarse foam of decent thickness that water can get through should work.
