I'm planning on getting a BTA and I need an idea to create Powerhead covers that can be designed to fit any type of Powerhead.

I used something called Plastic canvas. its a sheet of plastic grid. the sponges slowed the flow too much and get clogged IMO.

. Kinda depends on the head, But imagine a piece of paper or screen wrapped around the head. 2 small zipties to hold it closed and on the head at the seam of the grid. Mine were koralia and koralia style.
oops see if this works

I see how you did it now. Thanks. Just wondering what are those square plates on the power heads. And shouldn't the back intakes be covered or do they not suck in enough flow to be a problem?

at the back those are decorations i guess. theyre closed even on Hydor versions. On the front I added those to spread the flow, those were really too strong for the tank and gave almost a jet. so theyre diffusers.
I tinker.

Oh okay. Just wondering cause I've never seen any power head with that attachment
