DIY refugium sump or eshopps refugium medium cube?

Starting my 49g breeder and found this on eBay. It has the sections cut for onenfo petco dollar per gallon. Does it look like a decent sump? Or is the eshopps medium refugium cube worth the premium?


$77 for the diy kit and tank. Or $230 for eshopps version.

I have an eshopps Rs-200 sump under my 90. Works great. Plenty of room. Well built. But that being said, heck, if you like DIY stuff, why the heck not. And then you can spend some of the left over monies on chaeto & pods for that new sump.

Algae Barn has great, clean chaeto, pods, etc. Highly recommend.
