I'm buying a marineland 93g drilled cube & I want to build my own refugium sump but don't know how

First find a acrylic tank or glass tank that will fit in your stand. Then decide what equipment you are going to use. Measure said equipment. Using card board. Make your compartments. And test fit your equipment. Once you have it the way you want. Have glass or acrylic cut for it. If you use acrylic use a acrylic. If you use a glass tank use glass. Glass is pretty cheap to have cut. Also look at pre made sumps. And copy the design you like best

Ok thanks. How high do you make the glass that spilt the section apart?

It depends:
Skimmer section: you want to have it as deep/tall as you want your skimmer to be.
Refugium section: you can have it as deep/tall as you want.
Return section: depends on your preference as well. I like mine to be at least 3-4 inches above where the pump runs dry.

All of this considering the amount of water that will come down to your sump if you have a power outage. You don't want it to overflow :)

Hope that helps.
