I just bought a complete 90gal reefset up and it came with a 29gal refigum. My question is about the refugium, the overflow comes down in the main section of the sump where the skimmer setting up on pvc stand, along with the live rock and 3"sandbed. Then it flows over the dividers to the return sump back to tank. All the refugim I have seen have 3 chambers. Is there any problems with the way this is made.

The tank is 4yrs old and looked great before moving it. Wish I had a way to catch all the crap in the tank (filter media) section or an over flow box with filters.

I take it the Refugim is the sump your talking about here... A sump with 2 chambers is fine a skimmer section and return section... There is no fuge on that system... Normally the third chamber would be for lr. And chateo etc... Should work just fine... As for catching all the crap you can buy a hang on filter sock holder if your up to the challenge of keeping it clean on a 2 or 3 day basis and swapping socks... I personally don't use a sock to much work IMHO... Hth

Thanks for the advice, I want to try to get all the hair algee and other crap floating around in the tank. I had to turn off my power head cause there was so much debrie floating around and my pickup to the sump is only 1" pvc wasn't getting it all. I will thru a sock on it and deal with it for awhile.

A filter sock on the input to the sump will catch alot of the debris, so your on the right track there! I have LR as well as my skimmer in the same section and its fine. No sand tho, my 2 1" overflows blow to much around. I set up a seperate 20L with all my macros and sand/rubble.
