I think that the shelf itself, while it can hold the weight, would more than likely need reinforcing directly under the tank to create a rigid support with no flexing.

Also there's this metal brace in the middle and it's hooked into the supporting brace and where I would put the aquarium on top of but I would put a 3/4in wood on top to distribute the weight better aswell if that helps

I would think a layer or double layer of plywood would be more than enough.

Given your tank size, if you have some basic carpentry skills you could build a fantastic stand with 1 sheet of plywood.

Oh I forgot to mention, you should be able to remove the front top brace if you wanted and adjust the middle shelf what height you want.

If it’s only water then 25G of saltwater will weigh about 215 pounds. Sand and rock would be heavier than that. Plus another 50(?) pounds for the tank. Now at 265-ish. So three trestles won’t hold the tank.

The cabinet with 2x4s might work depending upon how the 2x4s carry the weight down to the ground.

just because it's 25g, doesn't mean there will be 25g of water in it. Rocks and sands probably will displaced some water 30% of the actual volume. Also, 25g IM is actually not 25g, maybe 22g volume!

I knew that aswell as accounted for that all
