I’m building a stand for my tank, the frame is done with some 2x4. What should I use to cover the sides, front and top? Plywood? Melamine panel? Any suggestions would be nice. Thank you

I think it really depends what look you are going for. Modern, traditional... natural wood, painted, etc.. Water/salt resistance will also be a factor.

Does not mater how it look what are some water/salt resistant recommendation

I just built mine out of redwood because it hardly warps and is water resistant. The 2X4s you used are most likely white pine and very susceptible to warping and water damage
