I'm starting up a 125 6 ft tank, and my husband is going to build the sump for me. We have some 1/4" plexiglass that he is going to use. My question is, what is the best way to put it together, with what materials, and where do you get them? Would I need to purchase aquarium silicone, or can I use some other kind? Do we glue it, or solder it with acrylic?
Any other suggestions would be welcomed! Thanks

Almost every place that sells acrylics, has the weld on "glue" you need for it. It's a solvent that welds the seems together. I use Weld on 3 myself.

Personally, I would much rather configure a 40/55/75 gallon tank with custom baffles than build one from scratch. Imo, it would be difficult to match the exterior integrity of the seals.
