DIY SUMP Mirror Baffle

Hey Crew. I need a little help. I'm building a custom 40 gallon sump. I could not find 4mm plate glass, but I did find 3mm mirror. Can I use mirror as baffle?

I would not recommend mirror glass as a baffle as the backside will be sprayed with something. If it chips or etches away it will expose aluminum and or silver to your tank.

I would just order the correct glass.
There should be a local shop you can find exactly what you need in charlotte.

I would worry that the back side would break down. If you find a silicone or acrylic base sealing spray you could try to seal it but I would just order some black acrylic.
