So I've been planning on adding baffles into my 20 long for quite some time now. I've just had trouble locating 1/4" glass that everyone recommends using. As most of you already know, Home Depot sells 3/16" glass, but I've read that it's not ideal and could lead to issues. So what if I silicone two pieces of the 3/16" together to double the thickness?
Any help would be appreciated!

Or was the glass 1/8" at Home Depot? Either way too thin to use.

Look into a local glass shop, they are everywhere. Expect to pay about $30-40 for 5-6 pieces of cut glass. Imo, HD is not a one stop shop.

image.jpeg Personally I'd only worry about thin glass on anything that is holding up water weight. For two of my three baffles they hardly have any difference in water level. I just have one piece that is holding back a couple inches of water. I'm not an engineer or anything... But I have .1" thick baffles on a 5.5 gallon.
