Hmm seems so simple.. How can people get away with selling 500$ fixtures?

Cause its a brand name fixture encased in diecast metal with fans. Got me. I'd rather make my own, which I usually do.

Hi, I hadn't read the link in 3rd post but I'm doing it myself, 6 bulbs, 3 ballasts, 12 plugs, wires, a heat sink and 3 fan for cooling the system.
Not so hard
