Hello all! Been lurking and can't seem to find exactly what I'm looking for. I currently have a 48inch 8 bulb tek fixture that I want to retrofit with LEDs, some options I have been looking at is removing the inner 4 bulbs leaving the 4 outside bulbs so would be 2 in front and 2 in back and adding either a diy led of some sort seen some where its just an aluminum strip and lights attached to it. My question is what would be the best LEDs to use, where to get all the supplies how to set it up to be used with some kind of controller and how many strips I should add? Another way is either cutting into the fixture to add 2 kessil a360s or 2 hydra 26's into the fixture itself easy enough to cut into it. My tank is a 120 gallon reef ready 48x24x24 with 40 breeder sump. Any advice would be greatly appreciated with what you would personally do and recommend. Want to start sps over again and for some reason with just the 8 bulbs it was lacking and browned out a few sps and lost then all params are spot on which confused me thinking maybe I'm missing something, can't remember what bulb combo I'm running currently as I'm a away from home currently, thanks for any suggestions and pictures would be lovely!
