DJs Aqua reef 400 adventure

Soooo today's tasks was to fit the 3 new blue plus bulbs from iquatics to my t5 unit and remove the whites it's looking very blue and pleasing to the eye but taking a picture is dang near impossible haha I'm tempted to order a purple and a couple 50/50 white and blue to add to it see what it looks like... second job was to find a smaller pump to run this rowaphos in a reactor! Managed to find an old ehiem pump which is working a treat! Oh and lastly I silicone a brace across the sump to attach a light onto for the Refugium when i get some algea from somewhere

Went and got a couple new corals today a rock of Yuma mushrooms not sure of the name/variety but they are lovely kinda deep red and blue almost, and I picked up a frag of Rasta Zoas one of my Favourites and I've never owned them before.

Well the tanks starting to hit the uglies :-/ only part I hate with setting up and maturing a new tank! Set up my fuge today so hopefully that will help

It happens to us all!

This is an OH **** post... seems like my lovely yuma mushrooms came with an added surprise! Flatwoms. Must have only been a couple on the rock as it's took a few weeks for them to appear and they are only on that rock and the one above them and a couple on the sand. I dipped them and the rock above and killed off about 30-50. Just going to have to keep an eye on the tank. It's my own fault it was only a couple weeks before I bought the mushrooms that I was at the same LFS and seen a couple tank full of flatworm.. stupid impulse buying at its finest so I'm on the look out for a couple wrasse now aswell sooner rather than later.

Right so it's been a while since I updated so will try and add pictures of the newest additions and then do a full update in the next couple days

Since treating the Bryopsis outbreak I had with fluconazole my tanks been a mess, I only assume it's all the nutrients being released from the dying bryopsis. Anyway after the cyano I've got dinos starting so I'm tackling it before it takes off more. Also picked up some zoa frags it would be rude not too

Also the dino x has started to work! The zoas that were closed have started to open again.
So I will post before and after pictures these first pictures are after treating what I can only describe as Devil algae (bryopsis) it caused an out break of cyanobacteria and Dinos and then the last two pictures are today one under my normal running lights then with the whites turned up.

Looking great! What are your thoughts on the tank so far and can you please tell me the dimensions of the overflow

So a little while ago I got a small Filefish to help deal with the Aiptasia and the good news is he cleared them in a couple days, bad news is over the last few weeks hes also had a good go at clearing all my zoas out aswell and in the end I had to strip down my aqua scape to catch him! But hes gone and hopefully things will start to recover
