This is the little write up I did for the free sample of Nualgi. I liked it so I figured I'd put it up on here with a new tank thread as my old one isn't really valid anymore.

My tank is a 92 gallon corner with a 20 gallon long DIY sump/refugium. Its a mixed reef with mostly SPS, a few LPS, and a couple leathers. I also have a purple whip gorgonian and a couple non-photosynthetic coals. Fish include a yellow tang, six blue/green reef chromis, a McCoskers's wrasse, two O. clowns, a green mandarin, a dragon face pipefish, a purple firefish, and two purple queen anthias. I've been running this tank in some form for almost 10 years. I have some coral that I've had for almost that entire time. Equipment includes a AquaC EV-120 skimmer driven by a Danner Mag Drive 7, two Hydor Koralia 1400 GPH, return pump is a Taam Rio+ 2100. The tank is currently lit by a Coralvue Lumenbright HQI pendant with a Pheonix 14000K double ended metal halide bulb. I supplement with Zeovit Pohl's Coral Vitalizer, Amino Acid Concentrate, and Sponge Power. The tank is monitored and controlled by a Digital Aquatics Reef Keeper Lite which also runs my DIY auto top off. The ATO is a Petmart pet food storage box with a Tom's Aqualifter attached to the lid which refils the tank with kalkwasser maintaining a pH of 8.4, KH of 9, and calcium level around 480 PPM.

Thanks. I haven't gotten it yet. I just did the write up a few minutes before I posted this.

I'm excited about it for sure. Especially since I just bought 2 purple queen anthias and they are supposed to be planktonic feeders. So if Nualgi will increase the planktonic life in my tank I'm all for it.

I am using Nualgi. I did my 3rd dose yesterday. So far there is nothing hugely different, but I did have 2 very small patches of hair algae. Today when I did my WC and basted the rockwork I noticed the hair algae looked different. I tried a toothbrush on it and it came right off. I was told by Nualgi that I might not see a difference for 4-6 weeks so I am optimistic that it will make some positive difference.

Its worth a shot. I some of the Zeovit stuff and they work really well so there no reason this stuff wouldn't work and if they are going to give me some I'll try it for sure.

Good to hear!!

Nice big healthy looking corals you got there. I'm also on my third week of Nualgi I had some cyano and green hair algae. Both have disappeared in just my 2ND week of dosing. Now I'm just looking to see a difference in my corals as far as color and polyp extension goes.
