Thanks Reefers you have confirmed much of what I thought, I didn't know about white vinegar. I get my R/O and Saline R/O from my LFS the R/O tests at 2.4 Dkh and the saline tests at 10.6. I am using a HANNA Marine Alkalinity (dKH) Checker HC - HI772 so far it has proved very reliable. For the past month, I had been running at 11.1 ish then suddenly Bang.
