If my alk depletes at a rate of 1dkh per day in a 100 gallon tank does that mean it would drop .5dkh in a 200 gallon, and .25dkh in a 300 gallon?

It all base on consumption of each system, each system is different.

Not to get too abstract, but, by adding water, it is not longer the same system...

I would think that in a larger water volume, there is more available "free" alkalinity (and Ca and Mg) so growth might occur at a faster rate, raising alk usage exponentially...

Id think the ocean would be depleted of alk under that logic

Every other single thing identical, yes (well, math is wrong for 300, but basically, yes). No adding of corals, etc.

So if it was 1dkh drop per day in a 100 gallon, a 300 gallon would drop how much provided everything stays the same?
