YeaDon’t think it’s that small frag of stylo that just all of a sudden started sucking alk .
No3 5ppm po3 0.04 Hanna checker says alk is 7.6...heres a Pic of my of my Apex I have about 20 corals LPS. Zoas 1 sps... Tank is over year old... I am dosing all for reef.... 5 MLS daily... But I just uped it to 10 MLS a day with my Apex dosThat one frag is not the source of your alk depletion. What are your current parameters and salinity? How often do you water change?
How old is the tank and approximately how many corals? You will reach a stage where water changes alone are not enough to sustain parameters and that is where dosing begins. How much alk drop per day?
I have some reef buffers but I stopped using it because of all for reef here a Pic of the alk trend on the ApexAFR is not really designed to be used to bring your alkalinity up. It's more designed to hold it stable once you have it there. I use seachem reef buffer if I need to up the alk some.
5ml is pretty low. Have you done a three to four day test of alk to get your average daily consumption without dosing?
Your alk is at a good level. What salt mix do you use and how often water changes? I dose 18ml of alk daily in my 80g system.No3 5ppm po3 0.04 Hanna checker says alk is 7.6...heres a Pic of my of my Apex I have about 20 corals LPS. Zoas 1 sps... Tank is over year old... Red sea blue bucket every two weeks I take out about 5 gallonsYour alk is at a good level. What salt mix do you use and how often water changes? I dose 18ml of alk daily in my 80g system.
Reef builder and reef buffer are not the same product.I have some reef buffers but I stopped using it because of all for reef here a Pic of the alk trend on the Apex
Well that is pretty much the alk number for that salt mix. I use the red sea pro so it mixes higher alk number and I do 10 gallons every 2 weeks still need to dose alk everyday though.Red sea blue bucket every two weeks I take out about 5 gallons

I did Hanna checker even showed lower alk of 7.65Trident is not to be trusted. I would perform other test to confirm; especially with a sudden "change" in parameters.
Red sea mixes at 8dkh at 1.026 salinity. Your salinity is slightly lower then that so 7.65 is accurate for what you are using to mix salt water.I did Hanna checker even showed lower alk of 7.65
