Your dkh can be adjusted depending on your nutrient levels

7 might be ok for YOUR tank. NSW is usually between 7-8 anyway. However many of us run dKh at 8-9, some higher but it depends on the individual tank. You say your other parameters are stable, but what are they? They could be low and stable, which isn't necessarily correct. Please post up your parameters

7 dKH is fine. Higher may lead to faster growth of hard corals, but is not needed.
