I think the new IPU is a more heavy duty controller box that starts with the A200 and bigger pumps.
But, I still think you would need to buy the third party controller-interface, to do what you would like to do.
Connect your Abyzz pump to a HYDROS WaveEngine 0-10V INPUT controller with this simple to install interface and use Fusion to do all your programming for 24-hour cycles, enable feed modes, and apply warnings and alarms.

I only run mine on the permanent setting mode.
Hope that helps and if I'm wrong about the new IPU, others can sure chime in.
If you buy one, be sure to register it with Coralvue (
within the first 30 days of purshase), who will send the info to Germany, to capture the full ten year warranty. Germany will email you back the final warranty certificate.
PS:
If your only want it to turn off for one hour each day, then a plug in timer might do the trick.
