Do anemone crabs have to have anemones?

just like the title asks. Do anemone crabs need anemones to thrive or will they be okay without one?

Are you talking about porcelain crabs? I've had several long term with no anemone. They'll just find a spot and be happy

Just wanted to make sure, never even tell with common names sometimes. I had 5 in my tank with 6 anemones, only 2 lived in them. The rest just used the rocks
