Do anemones burrow?

i bought this anemone yesterday, this morning it was wedged between the rock and the sand. Right now I have no idea where it is, I can't see it anywhere, is it possible it went under a rock?
 
Could be under a rock. I'd give it a few days, it should come out on its own as it'll need light eventually. Looks a little bleached :(
 
Some like lta's definitely dig their foot down into a sand bed. If your talking about burrying themselves completely, I've never heard of that.
 
I have a Black Widow that went "missing"... that is, until I flipped the rock over and found him on the bottom of it. Anemones can be a pain sometimes...
