My anemone seems to be shedding. I haven't found anything online about them shedding. I read a few articles about dissolving when dying, but based on the pictures I've seen of this, I don't think that is what is happening. Any info based on the provided pic would be nice.

Anemones don't shed. But yours doesn't look happy at all. Judging from all the algae on your rocks are you sure it isn't a water parameter issue. From my experience they will usually crawl to the back to die.

that does not look like a happy nem..
is it losing the tentacles?
whats your water levels?
how long have you had it?
What lighting are you using?
how old is your tank?

Parma are good, tank is about 3 months. Have had the am for about 2 weeks.

this is him this morning he had just eaten when I took the pic last night which is how I noticed the stuff where he looked to be shedding. I didn't know if maybe he was releasing waste or something's me like that.

ok.. by shedding i thought you meant losing pieces and parts... was it a brown slime coming from it's mouth?
if so...congrats... you saw a nem pooping :)

As long as it looks how it does in the second pic when its not eating Id say youre ok. If it looks like the first pic more often Id guess it wont last long.

i believe i see what you are referring to in the top pic. no, i don't believe that nems shed. that is just probably folds of skin and a little nem slime. lol
