I am about 25 hours into TTM. I have dosed Metroplex, Kanoplex, and Furan -2(twice). I am getting some readings of ammonia now. Is this due to the meds? Fish seems fine.

Are you using a liquid ammonia test kit? If so, the yellow tinge in the water (Furan-2) will throw the reading off. The ammonia alert badge will still be accurate, but you may need to take it out of the water briefly to see its true colour.

I used Salifert test. It was showing kinda an off pink color that means ammonia. I went ahead and transferred early.

Do you think ammonia was real? It's 1 convict tang in there. I did give it an entire sheet of algae that it ate completely. I'm wondering if it was ammonia and I over fed.

If he had actually been exposed to ammonia, I would expect to see redness around the gills.
Okay. I sort of panicked when I went down there and he was swimming more rapidly around the tank. Than I put some meds in a fresh batch of saltwater and read no ammonia on the test. But idk how accurate I was with meds in a 1 gallon bucket. Overall I wasn't expecting ammonia 24 hours later.
