Do any fish eat bacterial slime from carbon dosing?

Are there any reef safe fish out there that eat this with any regularity? It’s not bad at all and you wouldn’t notice it unless you started looking in the shadows in my tank but I still wouldn’t mind something to eat it up.

I do not want to change my carbon dosing as my tank is not looking for any big changes right now. (Other than possibly adding a fish lol)

Not that I'm aware of. Maybe you should just cut back on your carbon dosing by a small fraction and see if that helps.

I don't know about fish, but I would expect that some snails and hermit crabs would eat it.

None of mine did (tangs, wrasses, pyramid butterfly, wantanabei angel). What are you using for carbon dosing? I had more problems with bacterial blooms with the vinegar/etoh combo than vinegar alone.
Agree with Ron, cut back on dosing a little and see if it will decline. I would also make sure skimming is optimal as that can help also.

If you can, try to increase the flow to the affected areas to disperse the slime.

I get it in my sump when on higher doses of nopox and if it becomes a problem I just install a small circulation pump to ‘ripple’ the water surface to keep it clear.

At the moment I just stir it every view days and that clears it as well.

Thanks all. Am using vinegar and it’s not horrible but some is there under and behind rocks. I barely have any hermits. Maybe I’ll try a couple. Thanks again.
