Do calcium reactors cause less precipitation then 2 part?

It's been years since I used a calcium reactor, but I didn't have precipitation issues with it or now with dosing liquids. I'm probably jumping to conclusions, but do you have an issue with 2 part precipitation that you are hoping to solve by switching to a calcium reactor?

Somewhat which is why we have to regulate the effluent and Ph

I am having some. It's not horrible, but there's some. Was just wondering if calcium reactors have the same issue.

Absolutely. I have a in-line UV, i used to dose 2-part in the final sump chamber and used to get a ton of precipitate on the bottom of the sump and the UV quartz sleeve. Switched to a CaRx 6 months back and it entirely stopped. 100% true!

This article says calcium reactors will precipitate less http://reef.diesyst.com/crarticle/crarticle.htm

Maybe there’s a solution to your 2 part issue that won’t be as expensive as a calcium reactor :).

Thanks for the article. I will give it a reed. I am not looking to switch to a calcium reactor immediatley, as they are pretty expensive and I do not feel that my tank needs it yet. But later when my cal and alk demand go up I think I will.

For the time being I am switching from soda ash to sodium bicarbonate. I am told that helps a lot.
