I had a saddleback clown that hosted star polyps at first for a month or so, then moved on to a maximus clam for about a year and eventually settled on one of my larger brains.
 
Mine hosted Gobstopper zoas, then a Duncan, but not the BTA I bought for them. Then I got a LTA and the only time they come out of it is to eat.
 
They are fickle. Have a pair that were hosted by a zoa garden. Then the male liked to hang in the orange hammer. Got dragged by the tail back to the zoas
