I hear all the time about how important it is to not put too many fish in a tank because their sewage can overwhelm the system and cause problems. That makes sense.
On the other hand, I never hear anything about corals contributing to the bio-load. Never hear the admonition "don't put too many corals in your tank. They'll foul it." In fact, I see numerous examples of beautiful health looking tanks virtually filled to the brim with corals.
So what's the deal? Do corals eat and poop or not? Can corals overload a tank with pollution? If not, why not?
