Do corals need time to acclimate to different color lighting?

I've been thinking about dropping the color setting on my kessils to 0% with no change in intensity. Does this require acclimation, or is the transition fairly safe?

I don't think they need to acclimate to color as much as they do intensity. Always better to reduce intensity when adding new frags and then bring the intensity up gradually.

Cool. We will see in about 20 hours whether Alk spikes because everything is annoyed about the spectrum changing.

I wouldn’t rush it and would go a little at a time, unless there’s some specific reason you need to make the change quickly.

When we switch lighting programs, we always start at a lower intensity and then raise it. Corals can tolerate too low light much better than too high.
