So I was looking at my tank the other day, specifically my zoo frags and I noticed something new. One of the large polyps on my Wam N Watermelon zoas had a black protrusion right in its center. It got a little longer and then detached. It was long and thin, around the size of one of its tentacles. I’ve only had zoas for a few weeks, never seen this before. Any thoughts?

Were they recently added or any changes in lighting, sometimes can see this if compensating to more light than used too.

But could be excrement if ate something large like a mysis.
