First time doing maintenance on my dosing pumps well actually first time doing maintenance on anything mechanical ever . Kinda a newbie question but it seems like there is some kind of oil on the metal spinning part. I wiped it all off In the process of cleaning. Dose that need to be replaced to keep everything happy?

For the peristaltic pump that I use for my AWC (an old Masterflex) I use some silicone grease on the rollers and on the tubes. On my dosing pumps designed for aquarium use (dos and kamoer x1) I don't grease them.

The only reason I grease the Masterflex is because the way the pump head is designed it has a tendency to pull the dosing tube through the head and keeping it lubricated helps.

I had asked the question on here before the the majority of answers that I got were that you don't need to. YMMV

I’m about to do maintenance on a noisy motor using white lithium grease. Hopefully will help before I spring for a full replacement.

The grease I’ve seen on BRS is for the tubing.

I would try to maintain it in the way the manufacturer recommends. Some plastics are self lubricating and some aren't.

I would grease them with the silicon grease as recommended by @Gtinnel, it helps with less friction on the dosing tube and rollers
