So from my understanding, saltwater fish (unlike freshwater fish) do drink water. The salinity in their body is lower than the surrounding salinity and therefore water always wants to exit their body. To compensate they have to drink their surrounding water all the time to keep water in their bodies.
So my question, does that mean that fish benefit from food they might ingest as part of their drinking? For example, if you would take a product like Red Sea's Energy A+B Which is a complete diet in a liquid form (protein, carbs, fats, amino acids and vitamins). Would the fish benefit from it?
If it would... to what extent? could you feed your fish only liquid food? Could this be used to "force-feed" finicky eaters? lol... just some random thoughts I had.... I'm pretty sure i'm off here but I would like to get some professional confirmation...
