Woke up this morning and turned my lights on and couldn't find my majestic I ended up finding him on his side and quickly panicked. Not sure if he was just still sleeping or if he was sick. He was laying in the sand and didn't move until I moved a rock. Not sure if he got his fin stuck underneath the rock or just laying there. Got a photo of him up and swimming a little nothing great has white spots I assume is from him laying in the sand or it's ick. maybe I spooked him out of his sleep and stressed him

This guy doesn't look good. Not sure if Ich, but I can definitely be wrong
I dosed with copper and pulled my carbon On my way! To LFS to check water and gonna ask them what they think he was NOT like this last night perfectly fine no white stuff. He is still swimming just a little slow

is that a quarantine tank or your display? might have not been a wise choice to dose it in your display unless no other livestock, but the copper could bind to your sand/rocks.

I do not have corals or anything but a shrimp bit I haven't seen him in a few days probably got eaten.. I have a goby that moves the sand around and copper removing pads for when I'm done dosing

It is in fact icy they think it's from temperature change because my water is perfect

The fish does not have ich (at least not that I can see in the pic), the whitish spots look like injuries or perhaps coloring coming in.

Laying on the side is definitely a problem, especially if this is the same fish that was caught in the powerhead in your other thread.

Temperature change would have to be very drastic to have an effect like this.

The other side looks worse it's definitely ich. The fish that got caught died.

You guys really don't think that is ich??? what the heck could it be
This could be ich, but it looks more like a reaction that angels show from flukes.

Either way though, this shouldn’t have happened over night, there should have been some symptoms yesterday.

Can you post a video?

Here is a link to how to post fish disease questions:

I watched them for like 15 minutes last night and I did not see anything on him at all. When I woke up in the morning this was his condition. Will try and get a video of him when I get home he tends to hide from me

I dunno, I’ve always had a pretty hard time removing copper, esp with rocks and sand …just my experience…anyway looks like the more versed folks see this already …. good luck

is it a juvenile (i.e. very small fish?). - some of the coloring looks like this - but I don't think that explains everything.

Are the other fish doing ok - did you QT this one? Any other symptoms - for the fish in question?

How long have you had it?
