Do gobies move pistol shrimp in mouth

Or did mine just get eaten.. bought a orange spotted goby pair with pistol shrimp from live aquaria a few weeks ago, had not seen the pistol shrimp until I found it in a filter sock today. I netted it and dropped it down by the rocks and the goby darted out and what I'm assuming is made it a nice breakfast, but I'm hoping it was just bringing it back to its burrow? Is this possible or am I 100% out of a pistol shrimp?

I wouldn't think he was bringing it home. I know if I drop something in my tank my fish assume it's food until they discover otherwise.

Yeah it was definitely eaten.. overall frustrated with that order. Gobies were a "bonded" pair and they absolutely do not like each other. Shrimp was also tiny. When I can source one I'm going to add a tiger pistol, I've had better luck with them in the past compared to the red banded ones
