Do I have a parasite in my tank

Found this on my live rock recently. Anybody familiar with what this might be?

Id just cap it off with some glue and let it die then pick it off. Idk how vermetid's reproduce or propagate if broken off or stressed so rather than chance an aptasia like reaction Id roll with capping off the end in superglue and call it a day.
