Do I have a potential catastrophic problem with my aquarium?

Found a piece of the silicone sticking out. And, it seems that the glass/silocone at this part of the tank is not quite even.

I don’t know if it was like this when I bought it. Honestly, it’s been long enough that I don’t remember.

Is this a problem, or am I overthinking it?

It looks simply like excess silicone that oozed out during manufacturing. Aqueon tanks are well known for it. I take a razor and trim off the excess. as long as the two glass panels are butted up against eachother I wouldnt be concerned

I would do the same, just slice off extra with razor. Do not pull on it.
