Do I have a Wrasse addiction?

I think i would get addicted to them, but in my 29g the sixline is being a bully. And i dont think he is going to swim into a trap or net willingly. Guess he is going to stay there for 6-7 more years. Think they live up to 9-10

I had one before I started reefing in my FOWLR, NEVER AGAIN lol....here's an idea for your sixline....in my 25 IM Lagoon, I have bonded clownfish and I decided to add a tail spot blenny...pretty fish, but he started sitting on my scolys. Didn't think anything about it until they stopped extending their polyps....it was eating my scolys, caught it with the evidence. I could control feeding, shut off all circulation and fed with a syringe and only near the clowns a little at a time making sure the goby did not get anything.....it didn't eat for two days....set up a water bottle trap, baited it and it went right in.

Thats pretty clever, i was thinking about getting a pink stripped wrasse instead. Today the sixline beat up my first firefish, tore a fin. i feed a cube of mysis twice a day, so everyone is fat and plump :). is the yellow coris agressive? Id be fine with giving it away once it gets a little big. Tank is a 29g.

Coris are peaceful but would definitely outgrow your tank....they say Mystery Wrasses are pretty aggressive but I haven't seen it in mine at all, it's quite timid but it's still small, been in my tank for almost 2 years and has not grown much. A pygmy wrasse might be better suited for your size tank....definitely time for that sixline to go

Be carful... it’s addictive!
As long as you don’t have two males. No matter the type. Female Leopards tend to do really well together IME. It’s the Flashers that seem to not enjoy new flashers

Thanks for the tip...I’ve had my female leopard the longest, 5+ years, she’s definitely the bully for a few days chasing any new wrasse

You need more!!!!! Love my 2 leopards, they add so much flare to my tank...been eyeing those Chinas....might be next on my list
China's are awesome, I told my kids it's a baby shark. I'd love some more but I get paranoid about having enough pods for them to be comfortable (also have 2 dragonettes).

Am I addicted? I currently have 5 in my 125 and I just ordered a Timor Orange Dashed from LA Diver's Den...my current stock:
1. Leopard
2. Moyeri Leopard
3. Mystery
4. Melanurus
5. Checkerboard
I know I'm not alone, tell/show us your addiction to these amazing fish
Thats awesome! How did you QT your wrasses? Are divers den leopard used to eating frozen?

Used to have a bunch now I’m down to a pair of Cirrhilabrus nahackyi, pair of Anampses neoguinaicus, and a trio of Wetmorella albofasciata.
Before selling a few and losing some in tank moves I had;
Black leopard x2
Male Rhomboidalis
Potters leopard
Cirrhilabrus bathyphilus
As well as the ones listed above
Now I’ve transitioned into keeping spawning pairs of other wrasses, gobies, blennies, clowns, etc.

I’ll be honest with you, the female leopard I did not QT, I got it from a LFS nearly six years ago and it was tiny, the guy told me not to QT it and it would eat copepods until it was ready to accept frozen food and he was right. The moyeri I got from saltwater fish.com around 18 months ago and it was already eating mysis and got regular QT, the mystery I got nearly 3 years ago from LA, eating frozen, regular QT, same with melenurus and checkerboard which I got 2 months ago. They eat anything and everything now including my hand when I stick it in the tank. Along the way I’ve lost 2 who managed to find a way to jump.

I had lots of wrasses in my last tank. When I gave this one the reboot it currently has
Yellow Tail Tamarin
Lineatus
Blue Flasher
