Do I have Dino?

For the past few weeks, the sand in the same corner of my tank is turning brown. I don't think it is Diatoms, but I would be happier with that. I keep turning the sand over and with in a few days it is right back again. Is this Dino?

From the image I would guess diatom but it's just a guess, could be several things. If I were you I would get a cheap microscope and get a definite ID.

Just siphon up. Simple diatoms and increase water flow a little and bump up white intensity a tad

Diatoms probably. Dino will reconstitute in a matter of minutes. and you can observe if it does so by siphoning some water; as mentioned, confirmation is done with a microscope.
